Nancy Fiol

As most of you know, Nancy, my wife, had bi-lateral knee replacements last Tuesday (2/27). She was transferred from Sutter General Hospital to Sutter Oaks Midtown (a skilled nurse facility) on Saturday.

She is now going through physical therapy and this is the reason for our prayer request. Nancy is not experiencing any pain until they do the physical therapy. Nancy has a very high threshold of pain however due to her healing so quickly she is getting adhesions on her knees which need to be broken. So when she has therapy she's in a tremendous amount of pain which is causing her to cry -- they give her a pain pill 1/2 hr before therapy and she still is experiencing a lot of pain.

Your prayers are requested that very quickly these adhesions can be broken so she can advance with her therapy. She was able to bend her knees to 82 and 83 degrees today. The goal is 90. She's also concerned about me being alone at home -- I'm doing okay but sure do miss her. She prepared a bunch of meals which she froze so I just have to thaw them and reheat them. After 42 years of marriage you don't realize how much you depend on each other.
